Flying has been a life long passion for us. First as a flight instructor, later as a United Airlines pilot. Pine Mountain Lake airport is county owned and maintained with pilot controled lighting for night operations, two GPS approaches, and residential properties you can taxi to. It's the friendliest airport in the Sierras.
As a twenty year resident of Pine Mountain Lake, I can say with confidence, it is the best place to enjoy life and all that the surrounding Sierra Mountains and Yosemite National Park have to offer. The Pine Mountain Lake real estate market offers an eighteen hole championship golf course, 200 acre lake, tennis courts, pool, country club, stables, and camp grounds. The Groveland real estate market offers Sierra Foothills living in a quaint, small town atmosphere. We are only 26 miles from the highway 120 entrance to Yosemite National Park and 41 miles to the Yosemite valley floor. Bear Valley and Dodge ridge ski areas are about 1 1/2 hours away.
